ALBUQUERQUE, NM, September 17, 2007 ... We enjoyed our visit to Albuquerque located on Historic Route 66. We visited Old Town Albuquerque and were thrilled to meet the Navajo Code Talkers from World War II. Keith bought their book and they all signed it with a message for him. Keith was as excited as a kid in a candy store. He got to speak with each of them as they signed his book. What a wonderful experience and honor to meet these special individuals.

SANDIA CREST, NM, September 18, 2007 ... We took a day trip up to Sandia Crest (elevation 10,678) on the opposite side of the mountain of Sandia Peak. The drive took us up an extremely curvey road passing by a ski lodge and Tinkertown USA which we have seen on Travel Channel.

SANDIA PEAK, NM, September 19, 2007 ... We traveled to the top of Sandia Peak an elevation of 10,378 feet by way of the world's longest aerial tramway. Once boarding the tram the trip includes crossing over two towers before reaching it's peak. The view at the peak was breathtaking overlooking Albuquerque and the entire surrounding area. It is estimated to be 11,000 miles of panoramic view...we agree. We enjoyed lunch at the High Finance Restaurant on the peak.
